We live in a fast paced world, a world where we expect, not just from ourselves, but also from our teams, suppliers and clients for work to be done not today, tomorrow or next week, but yesterday. On top of that, we don’t just want the job that we asked for completed, but we want initiative to be taken to deliver just that little bit extra that wasn’t asked for. After two years of a work from home lifestyle we have grown used to just quickly jumping on the computer late at night to respond to a few emails, get those extra frills and whistles done. The lines between work and home life have blurred and we don’t always take note of the amount of additional workload we are taking on. So when when looking for new tools we strongly suggest looking at the following things: Does the tool do the primary activity you need it to do? Determine what the primary function is that you want to accomplish. If you have multiple functions that need to be completed then analyse each feature independently a

Simply see what is being sent out with your users details in company email signatures.  We have all heard about the POPI Act, and the importance of keeping personal information safe.  Our question to you is whether you are aware of what important company information may be sent out by your users every day without  your knowledge. It is hard to see what is being sent out in your business email signatures, especially in Google Workspace, where there is no native tool that gives you an overview or insight into your business email signatures. Have users put information into their signatures that may have severe consequences to your business? This may not be malicious - they may feel they are adding value or information, and unwittingly they are placing your business at risk. So how can we help?  Sigon can give you the insight into your signatures that you need. You can take a look at what is in each users signature - and at no cost . Taking a look to see what is in each of your Google Wor

And what should you NOT put in your signature??

We took a look last week at what you should do in a signature, and much of that was pretty straight forward, with a few tips and hints sprinkled amongst the common sense! In this quick post we want to take a look at those definite no-no's when it comes to your email signatures.  Don't ask your users to copy and paste some text or content into their signature space and hope for the best. It is a fact that many users do not follow the steps correctly, or are just plain nervous to fiddle in their mail settings. Using a tool like Sigon not only gives you insight into what your users have out there, but also gives you the ability to update your business signatures simply and easily. Don't try and shove too much in there and get too fancy! Try not to overload your signature with every single possible way to contact you. The basics are enough: name and surname, job title, company name, contact numbers, website address and your email address (more on that one just now!).  Try not

So what should you put in your Email Signature?

Email signatures form part of your daily communication with clients, stakeholders, potential clients and your own internal teams. So this little section of text can hold a wealth of information about your brand, the individual and your company as a whole. Here is a short list of some of the “Dos” involved with maximizing the return you can get from your Email Signature space. Use the right tool Keep in mind that your email signature is not a word document, nor a web page. And it should definitely NOT be an image on its' own. Use a tool like Sigon to code a good looking and robust Email Signature simply and easily.  Do keep it slim and simple It does not matter what email client is used, very wide email signatures will not render well for the recipient. Add in the complexity of a mobile device and the headaches increase.  The industry standard for Email Signatures is about 650px wide. Our suggestion is around the 600px mark though - just to make sure what you send is what they get.
